Interesting musc Humagon! I will listen a bit more to those bands. I was at a small metal festival here in my hometown last week. It was really fun. The main act (Rammstein) kicked butt as usual :-)

16 Horsepower - a Gothic / Alternative / Christian / Coutnry / Cattlepunk band. They truely have a unique sound.

I also enjoy Dead Can Dance.

As for types of music, Celtic, New Age, Ambient, Clasical, Jazz, occasionally bluegrass, and 80's fluff music.

hehehe...agreed!! Just bought it, and listening to it....when I'm not listening to RR.

Xe4ro - me too, I listen 24/7. I have really eclectic tastes, and will listen to most things save dance etc.

(But then again, dance can't really be classed as music, now, can it? lol!)

- Rap (Soul Scream, 50 Cent)

I dont like pure rock and heavy metal but I've a great respect for that music, I also dont like pure pop and latin music, however some kinds of pop and latin music are totally comercial and despicable and destroy the concept of music so I dont respect em. Almost all comercial music make me vomit, especially american one (sorry 4 that its true). Dont misunderstandme, some of the greatest musicians are American but also some of the worst ones are American and we all have to tolerate em because of the globalization u know guys ...how difficult results finding a good place to listen good music nowadays? In my case results impossible, bars, pubs and discos put only MTV and comercial music u know pop, latin music, bad rock and fuckin' regaeton which doesnt make me vomit, it does torture me what is different.

I grew up listening to old school metal (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden) but in my old age mainly trance, especially high energy, symphonic trance. I also like flamenco guitar, and classical and sometimes deep house when I am drunk and cleaning house, no pun intended. In my car, it's almost always trance. At home Winamp is either on Radio Rivendell or one of D.I.'s trance, house or classical stations

When I'm not listening to RR, I'm probably listening to New Age (Jean-Michel Jarre, David Arkenstone, Vangelis, Liz Story, George Winston), Classic Rock (Rush, Pink Floyd...BTW, The Australian Pink Floyd show is incredible if you're a Floyd fan...saw them last month in Manchester, NH and swore I was watching the original PF!!!), They Might Be Giants, New Wave (Thompson Twins, Duran Duran, Erasure), Classical (Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, Mozart, Chopin), Jazz (Dizzy Gillespi, Spiro Gyra), Blues, Big Band (Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller)...Pretty much anything other than Gospel, Christian or Rap.

Been a keyboardist for well over 27 years now, so I try to keep my mind open as much as possible. Obviously the 80's were my decade...the decade of the Keyboard! 8)

I also highly recommend new artists such as Bjorn Lynne

I listen a lot to grunge, hard rock music (NIRVANA ROCKS!).. And metal ofcourse.
I also can love celtic music, like the Duelling Violins from Riverdance.
Dimmu Borgir, Finntroll, Nightwish, The Gathering and Dragonforce are somethings I listen to mainly.

My musical tastes are simple. I have a preference for acoustic guitar and acoustic piano instrumentals. However, properly played electric guitar is always welcome, especially when there is a slide involved. Favorite guitarists include the Edge and Glenn Kaiser.

On my MP3 player, I have Heather Dale, John Schmidt, Katie Marie, Rebecca Morris, "The Blood Of Cuculain" from the Boondock Saints soundtrack, Tenchu, and other artists that are a part of my station at www.soundclick.com/wordwarrior39

As for mainstream artists, I enjoy Counting Crowes, Tom Petty, and U2 for the most part. I am easily bored with radio, and pop music for the most part is BORING!!! Radio was cloning long before Dolly the sheep was born. One more reason to ban cloning.

hahahhaa
