Now we've closed the suggestions for our Fantasy Awards 2011 nomination period. Now the Council will sit down and go through all suggestions and pick and choose four nominees from each category. It will then be presented and the voting can begin! To be able to vote you just have to be logged in, and you can only vote once in each category. Today is the final date for the nominations in our Fantasy Awards, an event where we pick and vote for our favourite fantasy happenings from 2011. It mainly focuses around the music created in 2011, but we also stretch further and vote for poems and artwork. Due to our agreement to let Twitch.TV stream our radio in their broadcast, and nicely point towards www.radiorivendell.com for promotion, we received more visitors than we could imagine. The server keeled over when the count of simultaneous visitors peaked over 160! To try to cope with this load I have enabled our disk cache system, which unfortunately is far from finished. But I had to in order to try to keep the server afloat. …

New top lists!

I have reworked and added a few more options to our member top lists. As older members XP was finally migrated the current top 10 was flooded with the nobles from the past. So I have created a few others as well so you'll be able to show up here and there. There are four new lists where we currently use a rolling system where you'll be able to view the top 10 for the last 365 days, 30 days, 7 days and last 24 hours. I will then move on to creating static lists of each year and month some day :)

Synchronizing XP!

I'm synchronizing all adventures happening before the big upgrade. This means that you will get XP for all comments, forum posts and ratings done before we upgraded in October last year. This results in that active members before this date will get their fair share of the glory. I short, you will have more XP if you are one of our older members. Also our top list will be updated. This is a work in progress and Radio Rivendell will continue to process the data during the evening. …
