The New Light

For this release Peter Bjärgö has put together work spanning 10 Years of his
work with Arcana. Lost songs from the early years, alternative recordings and new beautiful
work share the space on this anniversary album. These song are like nothing you heard before, as ten years have past, you can hear the music evolve from it's groping first steps to what it has become today. Arcana really stands for all things emotionally grandiose and this release
serves has a perfect commemoration to such a talented artist.

This is one of their better albums! It's actually tollerable! *blink*

If someone had told me "These song are like nothing you heard before, as ten years have past, you can hear the music evolve from it's groping first steps to what it has become today." before I heard this album I would hav given it the benefit of a doubt. After hearing the album I can honestly say that it is not all that new and different, or in my opinion even evolved, from the Earlier Arcana. Ther songs mostly sound the same to me. Horrible and MB Legion goes a long way to describe it, though there are one or two good songs in the entire list they rarely score above three stars in my book.
To illustrate with another quote:
"Arcana really stands for all things emotionally grandiose".
I'm not sure I would call it grandiose. More like insanity inducing.

This is probably one of my favorite Arcana albums in that I can say that I like two of the songs. All of the others are merely OK.
