The Brobdingnagian Bards (pronounced brAHb'ding-näg-EE-en) are The Original Celtic Renaissance duo from Austin, Texas. Marc Gunn and Andrew McKee combine unique instrumentation (autoharp, recorder & mandolin) with traditional Irish and Scottish songs, contemporary Celtic world airs, and a live performance that is just plain fun! This intoxicating blend earned them the title of "masters of traditional folk" by the Austin Chronicle and made them one of the most-popular independent Celtic/World/Folk music bands online with over three million MP3's downloaded.

Great performers of traditional folk music. Maybe not my genre, but in all fairness I must give them a "4".

One of the best Celtic artists on the Ren Fest curcuit today.

The Bards make a very simple sound rich and pleasing to the ears. Authentic sounds and, again, the simplicity, make this group rich.

A solid single star rating and a well-deserved branding with the mark of the MB Legion for the "Bards" (term used very loosely and in its broadest sense).

I can't give them a one because they actually do know how to pay their instruments and they're not Za Frumi. OTher than that, I have nothing nice to say about their very shrill and often irritating form of music.

Great work from a couple of Texas boys.

I only know their Album 'Memories of Middle Earth' ... and fishing for LotR fans with this 'music' makes me angry. All songs sound the same to me ... like kindergarten concert. "Banish Brobdingnagian Bards from broadcast"!
