I like the voice of L. Gerard in this OST, but IMHO Zimmer's score sounds like parts of Holt's Planets...

The best work of Hans Zimmer so far, in my humble opinion.

The whole soundtrack comes emotionally very thrilling and intoxicating to my mind and feelings. In correspondence to the motion picture, it's as if it was made just for me to fulfill me with both of it and put myself into the movie and its story. Really wondrous, I think.

It's truly sad there were no better movies out that year so this one won a movie of the year Oscar by default ... that being said, the music is excellent!

Hans Zimmer is a master composer. He tells the story of Maximus through song like no other composer would be able to capture. Lisa Gerrard's voice makes a nice counterpoint. Over all, I never get tired of this one and am glad they made a second soundtrack, which I'd love to see on RR.
