He notably made the score to "Local Hero" too, but that's about it in film scores as far as I know.

Knopfler isn't fantastically well known - and I have only heard the Princess Bride - but that is one of my all time favourite albums. It's timeless.

Knopfler is perhaps not known for his film music but what he has achieved so far is great. The Princess Bride and local Hero are both great albums.
