Unto Ashes, a neo-Medieval dirge band...are primarily focused on the
exploration of beauty and terror in the realms of shadow and loss. They
utilize acoustic and synthetic instruments to produce a foreboding
gloomscape of trance and drone.
Unto Ashes is a band from the USA that started doing music back in 1996.
During the years they have been released a couple of times on the Projekt
Record label, and also Kalinkaland.

Often sounding like complete beginners. Of course it's possible to simulate that sound if your skilled at what you play, but why on earth would you choose to do so?

Based on the album here on RR, I can say that I'm not impressed. Although they're competent enough with their instruments, the music is far surpassed by many others.

I wish I could give this group a 0, but I can't. Their vocals ruin their songs. Stop singing!

These guys suffer the same malady as Dargaard and Za Frumi...they add vocals that do not compliment or help the quality of the songs. Although of the three groups, Unto Ashes has the more tolerable music.
