Happy holidays to you all!

Happy holidays to you all!

Radio Rivendell is nearing the end our ninth year of service and I'd just like to take the time and thank you all for this year and wish a happy holidays, happy end of the year or just a nice weekend, regardless of where you are, your religion or beliefs.

We started out this year with a rebuild of the website to make it easier for me to work on the future Rivendell, it started out being less than the previous site, but I think we've soon reached what we had before the remake. And I'm still working hard on making it better yet. We've also seen the move from playing whatever we could get our hands on to play music we have the rights to do. We lost a couple of thousand tracks, but I'd rather do that than getting into trouble with the different organizations out there.

Our server park has also been increased, we now play our radio from 8 servers from around the globe and now it should be nearly impossible not to get in on the listening since we now have over 3000(!) available slots. We now also have an iPhone app thanks to 4CM Networks and you can tune in on Android and Nokia phones as well. There's no escape from Radio Rivendell! :)

Next year we'll celebrate 10 lovely long years of Radio Rivendell! Signing up and tuning in will always be free for all, and I really hope to see you all next year!

By saying "happy holidays" we include everyone, regardless of religion :D

People of another religion don't care about Christian celebration (it means nothing to them), so we don't need to include them. :)

I don't celebrate the christian things, I celebrate Yule, as we've always done here in Sweden. Then by chance the christians place the birth of Jesus on the same time. What a coincidence :-P

But Rivendell is beyond religion and beliefs, it's all about the music and the love for fantasy :)

Yule probably is Jul, connected with Julmust and Julol :D.
You are right of course, I am just a bit amused with term "Happy Holidays", sorry for that ;).
Sverige - see you tomorrow ! :D
