I'm not set for "The Hobbit", 'cause i've already saw the movie on 16th. It pretty much covered all of my expectations. It blew me away on so many levels. Jackson done it again. I hadn't a slightest doubt in him. Next year, the journey continues and Smaug awaits !

I really enjoyed Lord of the Rings the more when I was able to see the entire trilogy in one run on a home cinema.

So I've decided that I'll wait for the trilogy to be complete before seeing it in one go. With the added advantage of not having to suffer the babbling, munching, paper crunching, and seismic leg activities of the other attendants. I'm antisocial like that. :P

Well, based on all the mixed reviews, I went into the Hobbit yesterday with low expectations and I'll have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I will say I thought the 3d was rather pointless, and I'd have been just fine with the low frame-rate, but neither were significant issues.

It's kind of interesting to see what Jackson did with the story knowing he had 9 hours to work with. In LOTR, he had to cut out all sorts of stuff, in the Hobbit, he got to add stuff that the book glossed over. I think it worked out well. I hope I'm still alive when the copyright of Middle Earth expires to see what kind of great idea people can implement in that wonderful setting.
