Quick question about guilds on RR. Wondering if this is still an option and if so, are these MMO guilds we're apart of or guilds within RR? If they are RR guilds, is there a list somewhere of available guilds? The Forums Humble Noob

The guilds are guilds on Radio Rivendell. We haven't really thought out fully what to use them for It will expand and evolve as time goes by. A list would be a good thing yes The guilds are: Craftsmen's Guild Elrond's Council Game masters Guild Guild of Scribes Moderator's Guild Roleplayer's Guild The Bard's Guild Tinker's Guild

Suffer another question, on the tail of that one: Understandably this will be an evolving and growing thing; but just to begin, has it been established how one would go about joining or applying to join a guild? (Or is that, too, still in the beginning stages?) I am looking forward to having forums available for exchanges of information and experience in a guild specific to (in my instance) leatherworking. There are leatherworking forums outside of Rivendell (and they are interesting and informative), but to have a forum within a realm of like-minded friends with a love for fantasy as an integral part of their craft would be great!

I'm afraid you could end up as the only one member of the Leatherworkers guild This community is too small and/or not active enough for guilds right now.

LOL, yeah, I guess I might be the only leatherworker, now that you mention it...But I'm thinking maybe within the context of the Craftsmen's Guild, which might also include woodworkers, blacksmiths, etc. I'm sure we have alot of crafty people in the community. So if they're in the Craftsmen's Guild to begin with, I think they would be most likely to explore. "If you build it, they will come"...?

Some of the guilds lack descriptions, and I'd be curious to know what, for instance, The Gamemasters' Guild is about; Is it for users who run forum games, or for offline GMs as well. FBy the way, is it just poor navigating on my part that I can't find the Rolepleyer's Guild page? There's a guild I'd most definitely be keen on joining!

Yeah, the guild pages are "hidden away", I should really bring them forward for people to checkout and join. They're still in a beta stage, and we can definitely add more guilds if we want It's all up to you guys and girls

I'm aware that this has already been brought up but there should be a link to a guild list on the front page somewhere. I can't find them anywhere. And a suggestion about how to join a guild: in some forums I have visited this kind guilds had their own moderators, some older and most active members of the community. They were responsible for taking in the applications from those who want join the guild and keeping the conversation going. (I would be interested in joining the Roleplayer's Guild.)
