As you may well have seen, I talk a lot... There is a method to my madness, or something... I have been using forums for the best part of 17 years... Yeah I sound old but I'm just 34, still a kid at heart though. I'm kind of an experienced forum user, I started out on a forum called The Witching Hour (RIP) God bless it's soul. It was a forum for the Paranormal... Yeah I'm a big fan of the unknown and paranormal, kind of a conspiracist (If that's a word, maybe spelt incorrect but oh well) A lot of crazy stuff happened there. From there, when it got shut down by a cult believe it or not, I moved on to a forum called AlienUFOS which is still pretty popular, I was a researcher for the forum, kinda got into some serious research awesomeness and pretty much used to get into the CIA / MoD / FBI websites and posted a lot of their CLASSIFIED Files on the forum lol! True story! So I'm used to a lot of activity, you know what, it's actually nice to see this forum going strong even if it is a little quiet, it's actually a breath of fresh air that it's so chilled out and not hectic with trolls.
But, I would love to see it flourish, I know it has had it's moments by the looks of it, but I'd love to see people's posts about anything, I'm always up for reading anything awesome! SO if you got something to say, say it! It's worth it! No matter what it is! Make this forum active again and it'll be well worth it, and above all else, lets make our Lord Elrond proud of his members! He has put a lot of time into this forum and site, so we should be very grateful and return the awesomeness with activity! Ya' hear?

You'll find me rather quiet, I think. I have RR playing in the background at work, which means work comes first. Also, I'm not a "chatty" person, to which all my friends can attest.
But it's great to see several new people!

You're one of those mysterious types huh Nothing wrong with that! Ah you shouldn't let work come first, work is just one of those things we have to do but if money wasn't an issue we wouldn't choose to work. I know I wouldn't heh! I have a bit of a crazy job, I work with 132kV of electricity, which I learned that if I was to get a shock from this amount of energy, it would conduct to around 4-5 Million volts running through my body. Which would also mean death by very extreme measures. So I like to forget work when I get home
Hey it is awesome to see new members, I'm still a new member... Lol! So It's awesome to see newer members

I'd love to be able to retire, but can't yet.
Work has to come first -- I manage contracts and licenses. That sort of requires me to keep up with things. But that's why RR music is always on at the office!

If you work with such high voltage, shouldn't you have basic understanding of electricity?
132,000 kV is not around 4-5 MV, but specifically 132 MV if I'm not mistaken!
132,000 kV or 132 MV seems a really high voltage, actually I believe the actual record is smaller by an order of magnitude, lol!
Also, the killer is current, not voltage. Theoretically even as high voltage could come from extreme resistance and safe current (I wouldn't bet my life, though).
Safety inspector here.

Actually 132 KV is still fairly small to the 400 KV Stations we have. I work for a huge company called UKPN (UK Power Networks) and we supply the whole south of England with electricity. And it is true that if electrocuted by 132 KV it does go through your body as around 4 million volts, which is a fact according to the Sub Station Entry course we have to take to get into the Sub Stations, so it's a bad idea to touch anything Live. Not easy to be an Sub Station Inspector in Iran !
I can imagine, I just get to inspect the Sub Stations so I'm not climbing any poles, although I do stand next to 33kV and 132kV Transformers which is pretty scary sometimes... Might be an idea to take the vid away man might offend some people as it's not too good heh...

I see now. You initially wrote 132,000 kV, that is, you doubled the thousands. by 132 kV = ~4 MV you meant the difference between the resistance of wires and human body – now it makes perfect sense.
