Quite classy looking and good layout. ^^ I do have to ask though, did you make all of that yourself? Because if not we'd have to get permission to use the bits from the original artists before the site could use it. And and to whom may care, I'm working on my idea, but it'll be a week or too until I finish. I figure I have til the end of February anyhow.

I didn't make everything myself, I've used some cliparts like ornaments - but I checked and they're all licensed as public domain, that is, no permission needed I'll continue on weekend, probably.

So, as I have to suspend my whole virtual activity for a week or two, or maybe more, badge got to be done quicker. Maybe it is a good thing as with every next step I'm less confident if the change was in profit or vice-versa.

FLE will need to chime in, but I'm certainly happy with that design. Minor changes: The "1st" is probably irrelevant since there is no 2nd place. Maybe replace it with something like "winner" or "champion". Also, the banner with "soundtrack" could be problematic. We have about 6-7 categories, and they are all way longer than that. It might be better to make the award more generic, so that it would work with any category.

I think it's still good, as the winner got 1st place in contest, and adding "winner" / "champion" will add even more text to already bloated badge IMHO.

Gimme category names and I'll see how they fit. I was thinking about two lines of text on ribbon for longer texts.

OK, so we can remove words "best" and "fantasy" - not from award title, but from a ribbon, as the rest of the badge says it already. And before I'll try to fit the longest name, couldn't we call "Best Song from a Fantasy Album or Soundtrack" just "Song" in this case?

Maybe I'll even fit everything in one line, using some shortcuts, we'll see how this turns out.

Hmmm. "Independent Composer's Song" doesn't look as good as the rest. Obviously, these are big words for a little banner. What about:"Song, Indi Composer"? When this is all done, could you post up the PSD for these? They'll obviously be a good starting point for whatever happens next.

Thanks, I'm not a "visual artist", I just sometimes have luck to manage to make something nice ;D I've put a lot of heart to the idea, layout design and finally creating it, I'm glad it worked!

As it typical of my luck, my who-knows-how-old tablet is unusable because the rocker switch broke in the pen, which caused the nub to fall out. Apparently by this time trying to get a replacement pen is just a hair harder then finding the Holy Grail. I'm debating trying to continue with my mouse *shudder*. So I guess I'm even slower now. :/

Can't open PSD here or change badge, but I have *This* feeling that new logo will look worse then old in the badge. And I don't see a reason why old logo couldn't, shouldn't, wouldn't be used.
