(Hope this is in the right place!)

I have been assigned to Track 2 of Radio Rivendells Compilation III. https://www.radiorivendell.com/index.php?pageId=241

I've had a few different ideas so far, I was wondering what the best way to go with this would be. As it's called the Devastation of Akrotiri, this could either be in the process of being devastated, therefore the song would be a mighty epic thunderous destruction song, or it could be after the devastation, therefore being a sad oh my god everything's gone type song! I wanted to ask what the preference should be, if it should be a Mighty Epic Monsterous Beast, or a Powerful Heartfelt Meaningful Tearjerker? I would like to make both but can't have two versions so if anybody has a preference to Track 2, it would be awesome to hear what you think.

Hey ! In my opinion, it would be great the destruction itself ! Maybe you could add a small 20 second start of "everything is good, normal life", then start the apiocalypsis, and at the end, some other 20 seconds of "sadness, nothing remains" !!

By the way, I've been thinking about the track image, and I wonder: how does the city goes to devastation? Is it a natural thing? (tsunamy, earthquake...) or a devastatiion at the hands of somebody? (evil army, undead horde ;p)

Excellent ideas my friend! I'll definitely consider that! The destruction itself would be a lot of fun to make. Hey that's an ALL IN ONE idea there! Awesome! And for the Track Art, I was wondering how the destruction actually happens, I thought of a menacingly gigantic black dragon by the name of Throff, or something awesome like that lol! Maybe a dragon, but I don't know, who has to come up with that idea, because if it's me then I go with either the Gigantic Black Dragon of the Frosty Peak of the Opanthean Mountain... Or maybe an Army of Vengeful Mermen as it's kind of an Atlantis theme? What do you reckon?

I like the Dragon idea a lot !!! The truth is that I don't know if it has to be the same as Atlantis..bus as the track says that in braquets...I can't say who is the one that has to come with the idea. Maybe Lord Elrond can give us a hint if we can choose this poor city's fate! I don't really know much about Atlantis (don't blame tis poor undead), and I loved the Dragon idea, so let's see what can we find out about the origin of this track !

(Atlantis) from what I gather is just the Earth Era of the Timeline, as it seems to go through the Ages. So it's not exactly Atlantis, it's the Atlantis period in relation to the Compilation, hey that rhymed! We'll await the arrival of the Lord Elrond, maybe he can shed some light on this subject, or whoever is in charge of the story behind the project. The Dragon idea is cool, a little cliche but Dragons are just awesome so who cares about cliche! Anyway, we'll go with the powers that be.

The Sodality of the Star is a secret society of the ancient island civilization of Akrotiri. The Sodality devoted to the protection of a powerful jewel, the Sacred Star. When a cataclysmic earthquake devastates the island, members of the society flee in ships, but the jewel is hidden or lost. Throughout the ages of the world, descendants of the original membership seek to recover the jewel for power, faith or riches. But the ancient High Priestess of Akrotiri, Kitane, predicted at the end of her civilization that the Star would not be found until the world was remade in fire and water.

Guess it was a Cataclysmic Earthquake then! Well then, an earthquake song will be awesome!

Heh! Indeed I am my good man! Earthquake style extreme! But you're right there, says that some of them escape/flee by boats, those are the lucky ones! At least I'll take down their Island! That's pretty awesome in itself.

You got some destructive things to do! Have fun!

I was going to make a start today, turned out that I had some technical difficulties so I'm holding it off until tomorrow, but I finally sorted out those technical difficulties and I'm prepared to make this earthquake very devastating indeed, enough to level the whole island I am going to enjoy this! Thanks man!

All right !! right now I am taking a time off, and I am far away from home ! although I have brought my Magical Box, I am missing some of my other tools of the trade. So in a week, when I get home again, I'll start preparing the artwork !

Awesome man! Can't wait to see what you come up with There's no rush dude take your time, I haven't started work on the song yet because I'm just installing EastWest Goliath and need to check out what I can do with that. The Compilation will take time by the looks of it, but as long as it's moving forward instead of backwards that's the main thing. Hopefully more people will post about their songs to request some artwork for them or just to talk about the process they're taking and what not. I appreciate you working on this for me man! That's awesome!

New Laptop, new Ableton Live 9! New song coming soon Will be starting work on Track 2 for the Compilation in the morning for sure! And I can't wait! Just listening to the Radio for inspiration!

very epic, super hero type, uplifting, very promising start . if you might add some tendency towards disharmony and maybe faster percussion with that and maybe a final sad lamentation. but I know you have it already in your mind so I was just thinking loud how I'd continue. very good BTW, you're good with it and better with each track
