Hi all! This is no "coming attraction" in itself, but it will lead to one I'm planning to shut down the forum in order to be able to export entirely without losing posts it to our new site. I have a plan to do this on Saturday. So until I have fixed it to some level you cannot post anything. I hope you will survive This is just the first step towards our new site, I thought I better start migrating, since the current webhosting service has been discontinued and I have no idea when they will shut it down

I hope if will go smoothly. Though the new Rivendell 2.0 is not finished yet. But I'd rather start using it now than waiting an eternity My own CMS has developed quite happily during the it's two year life and it should now work fine for Rivendell too. And Rivendell will be my platform to try out new development ideas for greater sites! I have huge plans for our little world, and a new site is our key to world domination

Okay, now I'm shutting down the forum, and the loggin in. Actually it wasn't that easy. The forum and the rest of the site have grown together, so by pulling the forum it pulled everything with itself shutting down the whole site

Yay! I have migrated the complete forum now. It took quite some time. Just some final testing and indexing to be done!

I've added a spam-bot prevetion mod already to the forum. We already had the classical spam posted, just a few hours after I've opened the forum on the new server. Hopefully this will fix it permanently. Also consider this theme a semi-temporary theme here in the forum. It was the "best" one available for download. It's actually butt-ugly if you ask me. But I really don't have the time just yet to make a new one. And the other one we had in the old forum hasn't been converted to phpBB3 as of yet... oh, just googled and it has been converted. Though it looks quite bad too

It seems like all things considered, the transition went pretty smooth. BTW, I really like the new functionality/layout on the posts. The forum was a bit slow this morning, but the performance has greatly improved this morning (possibly an indexing issue as far as performance goes?). Honestly, I don't mind this theme. It's actually growing on me. ;^)
