It seems streaming has stopped, and it has for at least a couple of hours. I've checked the Icecast2 server status and I see nothing. Must be some servant of Sauron!

Phew! It went down during a power-out. I will look into a UPS unit, that might save us some precious uptime

Is it just me or has the server been down for a few days now? It's been constantly stuck on Casting music spell....

I have also noticed this and it is still stuck on Casting music spell, however despite seeing that, it still seems to be showing what is currently playing despite not actually playing the music

When things go on the fritz, I'll often go here http://radiorivendell.de/status.xsl to see if I can get a stream. I click the "M3U" link and play the m3u file through a media player (you actually only have to do this once). I then use the web player to keep track of what is currently playing (even when it's not actually playing).

I find using a media player to be much more reliable than the web player. I use VLC (https://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) to play the radio at home and at work (Windows and Mac), and even on my smartphone and tablet (Android and iOS)

What I do on a Windows/Mac desktop, go File->Open Network and enter http://radiorivendell.ddns.net:8000/128kbit.mp3 as the URL. Once the stream is playing, I save it in my "media library", and I won't need the URL again.

VLC on my phone has a stream option in the main menu, and you would give it the same URL. It will save the stream in a history list for you.

(where did I get the URL? It is listed here: https://www.radiorivendell.com/page/listen/)

Since the browsers started to block auto-play functionality for sound I find that it gets stuck when you open the web player the first time. So I usually hit stop and then start again. That seems to work. But external players should work if the servers are alive and well. And they usually are nowdays

Thanks to all, I went to the link given by Truthseer and opened it in my browser which works fine - so thank you I tried the trick by hitting stop and then start again when opening via the web player but no joy, it still wouldn't work.

It appears that the server has been unresponsive for at least the last few hours.

Yeah, a short power outage made the main radio server go offline. I am looking into getting us a UPS to prevent these events in the future. Anyone have any idea of brands and stuff? Will anyone do? It will need to handle a bunch of computers and networks peripherals for at least 15 minutes or so. That should make it stable enough I think.
