Hi! I've been discussing a thing with my fellow brother regarding pushing the composers on the radio forward a little more. Our main purpose is the radio and wouldn't it be great to be make our composers more visible to companies looking for composers for their games, movies, etc.? We have a lot of wonderful talent here and making them stand out a little more would be great. Just imagine if we could become the best fantasy hangout for new composers? I think we already could be, but we can always be better! I just want to start the discussion, for the future of Radio Rivendell Any ideas?

I know that one can get to the composer via a link on the "Play Music" pic, but that often contains pretty sketchy information. Perhaps augment that with a short bio with existing credits, and links to their own page or contact info? Add a link on the "Community" menu for Composers?

Well, as someone actually just starting out I am all for this How about a section in the forum (additional to what Kitharis wrote) for newcomers and already accomplished alike to introduce themselves and get feedback from their audience or something like that? Right now there is only the "Hints on new music" section which has an entirely different purpose though. Or maybe there could be a kind of info-section on the player itself, where now the link to the composers page is shown so "we" could enter some background on the song that's currently playing? (I am sure that's technically challenging but hey, think big! ) Also, I would love to be able to click on a song on a composer's listing here and listen in on it (even more difficult, I know, and a bit besides the point of a radio), but sometimes I am browsing a page and think "wow, this title sounds interesting, I wonder what music that is" and I have no way of finding out

Great ideas both! Perhaps I can add a section somewhere on the artist pages (which perhaps could be open for every artist to add stuff too without even being on the air) where you can add links to Soundcloud widgets? That way composers can get their stuff in our showcase before being on the radio already. That shouldn't be too hard I think
