Hi guys. New forum poster but long time listener.

It's nice you have an iPhone app. It really is.

Be nice if I could listen on my Galaxy running Android.

Okay, sarcasm aside (sorry, it's in my genes), I'm surprised that the good folks here haven't made an Android app for RR. I used to be able to pick it up on Shoutcast but ever since WinAmp went belly-up the new Shoutcast isn't getting it on my current stream app. Any word on this?

Thanks for listening to an old fart.

Yes, we have an iPhone app. But it's outdated and frankly I think it has stopped working.

You can "Add to homescreen" if you browse to http://www.radiorivendell.com/play from Chrome if you have a fairly modern Android phone. It should work fairly well! The next installment of Radio Rivendell will have a more modern webplayer as well. If anyone would like to help building an official app, join us!

Well, if there was to be an android/apple app, what features should it have?

First of all it would play the music, support for any of our relays. Then perhaps login and rating and commenting. That would go a long way actually

Reviving an extremely old topic, but important one. On Android (and iPhone) you are able to save a bookmark and have Radio Rivendell's webplayer as an icon in your phone, and it works just like an app! Not sure where every option and setting is but check the documentation. It works like a charm!

It works in the same way when you create a shortcut (name might differ between operating system and browsers) in your dock/start menu. I have an icon directly to the radio player in my MacOS dock for instant fantasy feeling 😀
