Hello, I am a new member, as I was searching around on the internet for websites that played fantasy music. I have grown quite fond of fantasy based music, novels, artwork, etc and I also enjoy talking about anything fantasy related as well.

Welcome Ingleberry. I think you'll find this station a unique place. Fantasy and imaginary soundtracks are growing musical genres. If that's something that interests you, then this station is best place to find it. To my knowledge none of the big music discovery services, like Pandora, index for this category. With the resurgence of tabletop gaming, and the explosion of indie filmmaking, there are more and more artists every day producing this kind of music. Radio Rivendell has a huge playlist that's been curated by hand for many years. There really isn't any place out there like it. I hope you stick with it.

Well said, Pinwheel! It's truly shocked me how little of this content is out there, especially in a place dedicated to it. Sure, you'll find the occasional video-game music site or some hobbyist's humble dedication to the genre. But this is the only site I know of that not only streams the music, but also promotes the artists and gives forum for user/fan and artist alike. I hope we'll again see the compilations, contests, interviews, etc. I came here right at the tail end of all that, so I'm a little sad that I missed most of it. But I'll be hanging around to pick the fruits regardless!
