Good day! I am Scandinavian artist and fantasy lover. I have posted in this thread once before, but have had some issues with this site and somehow, the comments seem to have been deleted, so I thought abt just making a new post. I am a huge LOTR/SILM/HOBBIT fan (currently watching The Rings Of Power). I used to roam this site back in the day, around ca 2007, it has been a while since I last visited Radio Rivendell, but I always find my way back, it such a lovely place, a cherished memory of the past, huuuuge nostalgia hit everytime that I just take the time to listen to some classic tunes hosted here- such a great concept, and such an admirable guy keeping this place together. Super admirable!

Welcome back, Thilion! I have also found myself returning to the site rather frequently, so I'm very happy to see the progress! I was always amazed in the past about how much this is a relatively untapped resource (a variety of fantasy-oriented music, chiefly from indie artists and those who may have more recently found success in the industry). I am very grateful to be able to see again other perspectives and to share my opinions! I am from USA (Texas, specifically) and I believe I've been a member of the site since 2011. Radio Rivendell was brought up to me during one of my role-playing sessions around that time. Now that I have a family of my own (two children), my role playing days have been "on pause" for the better part of a decade. But Radio Rivendell has always helped me to reminisce about those days!

And yes! the music was always such an incredible highlight of my day, all these artists I had never heard about before I found this place, I would spend hours checking out the ratins and what was new, this site used to be so active and I remember it so clearly. Sure things and people move on, but it is always a pleasant experience whenever I come back to this place, seeing how it is surviving despite how long it has been. Really impressive to be honest. Texas? how neat, I have never been to the states, (only Europe) it must be so different from here, I don't envy the summer heat I can tell you that much! I would melt for sure. I still roleplay to this day, I began my rp journey around 2008-2009, not as frequently as I used to, but it is still something I take the time to do weekly-biweekly. I found this site by accident whilst surfing the web, decided to check it out and boom! the rest is history. Really great to see that there are some people still actively following this site and its progress as it is trucking along.

Very welcome back! Yes, we've been more populated and more active in the past, but the old code made me take a step back in order to keep us alive. But hopefully I can bring more stuff back and hopefully some more people will join in all our discussions we had before 😊

Welcome, blue fairy! Indeed, I hope new life can be breathed into the forums. Ever since I became a Dad, the world seems to have run full speed ahead and sometimes I wonder what the new trends are and have people gravitated to other media. Fantasy-centered radio doesn't seem to be a common thing...and these days when one mentions "fantasy," some people assume it means sports!

A good thing with Radio Rivendell is that is time more or less stands still here, for better or worse 🤣
