Why am I not hearing what is said to be played on the site?

It has to do with so called streaming buffers. In order to enjoy streaming radio over the internet your computer needs to buffer the music, or you might be risking choppy or interrupted audio. It has to do with how the internet works. What is listed in our "Now Playing" is what is played right now at the master radio server. Then it's sent to one of the relay servers. These are actually the ones you will connect to. These servers also have buffers of their own. So you'll really get at least two buffers to fill before you will hear any music in your own speakers. The buffer size also depends on your connection speed and settings. It might be a difference of 20 seconds between what you hear and what is listed on the site.
