The Hero (Single)

With The Forbidden Path and Beyond the Portal, Francesco Pirrone began a new chapter of his life as a music composer, a chapter where the piano is the core of the orchestra and plays simple, minimalistic melodies but at the same time it guides the other instruments.

The Hero is Francesco's 3rd single for 2022 and it's epic but it's also calm and somber, dreamy in a way.

This new track represents the suffering and sense of responsibility of The Hero that's inside all of us, that's why it's melancholic but hopeful at the same time... there is always light at the end.

From the musical standpoint, The Hero gracefully alternates modality and tonality, is paced and demure, the piano is intimate and close, supported by a lush and wide orchestra. The intro also features the Mixolydian B6 scale, a mode that is known for its unearthly feeling of suspension.
