In the year of 2000 the two Swedish brothers Daniel & Mikael Tjernberg had some musical ideas that didn’t seem to fit Metal Fusion, their main band at the time. They started to record some of this music in their own Goatman Studios, and soon they had enough material to fill a complete, fullength album. The project was named after the title of an opus, and so LOST KINGDOM was born.
Leaning towards a romantic avantgarde classical music, LK has a wide variety of influences. The passion for the music of the later Beethoven and Strauss, but also Schumann, Chopin, Liszt, Wagner, Verdi, Brahms, Dvorák, Tjajkovskij and Mahler melts together with Daniel’s influences from the popular music metal scene and Mikael’s love for the recorder and baroque.
The sound of the duo became even more defined with the release of Under A Clouded Sky (2004), which turned out to be an orchestral, almost entirely instrumental album. The story goes on, and in year 2006 Shrouds of Victory was released.
As of 2007, the Tjernberg brothers are looking forward to letting a total of eight new songs meet their audience. With the release of the third album come this fall, expect nothing less than perfection.
