The beginning sounds like something I would hear in a music box. Then it rather abruptly segues into something else completely. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but I wouldn't brag about it if I did.

This is very interesting take on elf music, not what I think of, but I liked it.

Depending of what you see by the word "elf"... it is just word, it's the connections it implies that matters. Apparently, the author's feeling of elves doesn't match the more acclaimed elves by Tolkien, this doesn't imply anything else. They're real enough for the composer to make that kind of music and not something else.

Does it make sense? It doesn't have to. : )
