Aaron Dunn

Aaron Dunn

From Canada

Born in the small town of Niagara Falls, Canada, Aaron Dunn had an affinity for music from a very young age. He started playing drums at 4 years of age and piano a little later on. He dabbled on the trumpet for a year at the age of thirteen and discovered his love of brass instruments at fourteen after being handed a tuba in his first year of high school. Aaron became a commendable tuba player, being recognized at a competition for his musicality. Sadly, his wisdom teeth had to be removed during the course of his third year of studying, although fortunately he had been playing bass and guitar outside of school. He transitioned to the bass guitar and attended a year of jazz/contemporary studies at college. It was there that Aaron found his love of composition.

Over the last decade, Mr. Dunn has honed various musical skills and played in bands of many genres. While being most experienced at the bass guitar, he has also been credited in studio for songwriting, guitar and keyboards. In 2014, Aaron completed his first record, titled: The Silmarillion Symphony Ep.1: The Deeps of Time. In 2016 he completed the second album in The Silmarillion Symphony, titled The Fall of Fingolfin. In 2018 he recorded two excerpts in Moscow - The Passing of Fingon and Light Endures. His music has been heard around the world, and are part of a series of symphonic works planned albums pertaining to J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion.
