I was recently shocked to learn that some of my fellow forum-goers are unaware of this excellent D&D comedy film!
"The Gamers" is a low budget clever satire on D&D players by Dead Gentlemen Productions. It is also available for free viewing on YouTube.
If you have experienced "geeking out" at a D&D session, you will no doubt laugh a lot and find yourself pausing or rewinding the playback to watch it again. I will warn sensitive viewers that there are a few scenes with undesirable language from one particular character (the girl who is studying for exams curses when complaining about how much noise they are making). An expletive free version is available for purchase.
There is also an excellent sequel, "The Gamers 2: Dorkness Rising" which is available on YouTube as well as NetFlix DVD.
Again, more sensitive viewers should be cautious about the humor revolving around two of the characters' innuendo/promiscuous joking (the bard and the wild mage).
Have you also enjoyed these films? Let me know what you think.
Oh yeah! I had forgotten all about The Gamers; really funny stuff
! Though I didn't know that there was a sequel, so thanks!

I don't want to make spoilers, but doesn't Monthy Python: Holy Graal fit here?

The movie isn't about roleplayers, but the things that happen could (and probably have) happened on some gaming table.
By the way, the 'confusing a dwarf' joke has become one of my favorite fantasy jokes. I thank you for it.

You might be surprised if you rewatch the movie, as you probably forgot the ending, and it is quite a twist.
