I love all of them settings so whatever wins is a win for me too But I would start with a D&D style, as it's familiar to everyone. I also speak Spanish, Ardac. I don't really think that little mistakes in our speech will take any magic away

Hello everyone, sorry for the late response... (out of town)

Lets see... Vampire, the setting is the making of a vampire, first you will "born" with no powers... The rules? well for those that dont know too much about pen & paper RPG you can use whatever rules to any setting... for example:

D&D (Wizards of the Coast) use D20 system http://www.d20srd.org the rules are free (except character generation rules), for example they use a D20 variant for the StarWars Setting

GURPS (Generic Universal RolePlaying System) ... generic rules to any setting you can imagine http://www.sjgames.com/gurps i think they have the biggest collection of game books settings

Palladium books (Palladium Fantasy RPG) the same thing... but only the setting of fantasy http://www.palladiumbooks.com

And those are the comercials one, there are plenty of free RPG rules on internet, remember, some rules shape the setting, in the case of White Wolf (merge with the people of Eve online) they have the World of Darkness setting/rules... every undead setting they have the rules... dont know the actual books, the rules i know were for Vampires Dark Ages (medieval setting) Vampire The Mascarade (modern setting), even have the Mommy setting, Werewolf, changeling, etc...

Posted by KottsifjarI also speak Spanish, Ardac. I don't really think that little mistakes in our speech will take any magic away

Of course not, but mine yes... let say the mental picture i have its different of your... so i hope dont have to argue about those situations...

So D&D?... great... characters

1 Halfling (male or female) usually Thief or similar, please one is more that enough...

2 or more Warriors (except Barbarians, any race... except evils... paladin? do you dare?...)

1 Cleric, a healer is always welcome, but isnt required

NO magic user...

Questions? shot! , by the way you can send me PM with your character or email me (mtuimil@caracasrpc.com)

what edition of D&D?
Ardac

Let say third edition... Just came in.... have to travel to Italy this saturday to thusday 13!... so here the intro, choose wise the character and profession: THE LOST CITY OF ERFDAM Frakngûor is a small town full of hope for young adventurers who want to be known, limiting in the north by the endless steppes is the last spot of civilization where you can get a little warm in the white desert and despite the endless battles with the barbarians life was relatively quiet, suddenly, the walls that take shelter of the town were assaulted by huge rocks thrown by the new allies of the barbarians, terrible frost giants and dozens of white orcs, terror soon spread, the barbarians never before had been allied with each other and much less with giants and orcs, food is scarce because hunters could not go out to the hunting plains because of such attacks and the worst is yet to come the winter is comming. The chances for receiving aid from the south is impossible, never would arrive on time, it is almost impossible for an army to cross the Rindstud, the great lakes to the south, without dying of cold or drowned in the treacherous frozen waters. Soon the regent council meets and declares that the best chance is to escape to Vostan before winter arrives and the route become impassable. The road will be long and hard, 50 kms between the two cities, but locals, nomads before, not are daunted by the idea of returning to the south. The exodus begins, first in small groups to not attract attention, when the attacks became more frequent people left without order in large groups, leaving Frakngûor to the barbarians. It was not necessary that the barbarians attacked, in a few kilometers might be seen the first victims of the onset of winter and Rindstud, when a careless step on a loose slab of ice on the lake sends many to certain death by cold or by drowning. After a few days of march the survivors arrive to the endless mountains and begins the arduous ascent, even from there you could see the rows of black smoke resulting from the destruction of the town. Some fools thought that they would be safe in the mountains, but they were wrong, before dawn, when they slept, an avalanche fell, buried all, beast, food and people, only a few managed to survive for their expertise, their resistance, luck or perhaps to the delight of some dark deity to watch them suffer. In this situation the characters are, no one is hurt, just exhausted, dont known personal each other only by sight in the town except the warriors they know each other because they were in the watch of the town.

With a dark pragmatism collect the few provisions that were not buried by the avalanche and follow the path to the south, up the mountainside. At noon you walk to a thick pine forest and stopped to rest and maybe eat something, suddenly heard as if someone walked in your direction, stepping the branches of the forest floor, hide and carefully watch the area from where the noises come from. And appears a fairly tall individual wearing heavy furs and helps to walk with a big stick but you fail to see their race and does not seem to carry any weapons visible. Suddenly stops and seems to look at you despite being hidden, slowly removed his hood back and see that it is a young man. - I'm from a caravan that came out of Frakngûor few days ago and I've lost, could you tell me how to get some way to take me to the south? Although his face and dark circles of exhaustion, you recognized as a young magician at the orders of the captain of the guard, Wurrka or something is his name

The mage can barely open his eyes, just so exhausted, but scarcely with a murmur you can understand that's been lost in the mountain for a couple of days and since then, using his magic, has escaped from the barbarians...

your map is not very accurate, but notes route to follow is where the magician came in an couple of miles get to a cliff where you will find a path, not very wide, from where you can climb down very easy
