Posted by KNJRA (Conjurer)I agree with you guys, it is probably the people you know and having the money for it, but to work for Hollywood you have to make Hollywood standard stuff, which is not easy, unless you use Hybrid... But that's also crazy expensive!

but hybrid or emulated orchestra with 100 french horns... What ? I say it's possible in midi format.

Well, hybrid or sampled orchestra can be better than a song written by a high skilled orchestrator.

Money is in hollywood and the son of a star is already in the show business, even if he makes shit...

Yup. I'd quess every experienced musician can write a really complex harmonies and melodies in music with proper playing with Midi velocity editor. If they just invest the time to do it. It's hard to do alone, but not impossible at all. You might work one track for longer than a month though. I'm pretty sure that some of the "famous" musicians get a lot of help from other musicians to make thier tracks.

Posted by KNJRA (Conjurer)Massive is pretty good for Electronic stuff, I have it but hardly use it though heh. It was expensive enough too! Like everything, damn thieves they are, damn thieves in the night! Mostly use the East West Libraries after finding Composer Cloud I agree with you guys, it is probably the people you know and having the money for it, but to work for Hollywood you have to make Hollywood standard stuff, which is not easy, unless you use Hybrid... When it comes, anything related to music. Costs are sky high if you want quality. Same goes for guitar or bass or drums etc. Atleast it's great that they share the experience with others for exchange of money which is quite understandable, since they have put effort and work to record the realistic samples in studio. I checked out the Stormdrum 2 and almost choke on my coffee.

Stormdrum 2 is used in TSFH 1000 Ships of the Underworld and Thomas Bergersson also produced Hollywood Strings, both are awesome! I use SD2 in most of my recent stuff, SD3 is going to take about 3 years to download though lol 83GB is an insane library! But yeah, you get what you pay for I guess.

East-west is good, because we have each instrument. Project sam sound is awesome but instruments are in a bundle.

Project sam is for composer who needs not a clarinet or a flute but a woodwinds section.

So for me, I dabble in HTML and PHP, so the projects that I never finished, therefore never published, are all websites. There are four that I have been chipping away on for many years, some having changed forms so many times that I can not even see where I started them from, and some so new that still have the cling-wrap on the screen. Because I have not published them yet, and do not even know if I will, I will describe these four projects to you, starting with the oldest one that I have. We all know of Jeopardy! We all have wanted to play it at one point or another, so I have been trying to make it for the computer since 2009. In that time, it has changed from a small PowerPoint file to a complicated website where you can edit questions and stack them into categories. There were plans here.... They just never came to pass... In 2015, a friend and I decided that we would start a gaming community. It started as a quick google site with some game server that I hosted. Before we went too far, life happened and we never talked again. I have started to rewrite the website to be of my own designs because the google site was grating to me and did not do what we had wanted it to do. In 2020, a friend gave me a concept for a podcast that required some input from the audience. I started to make a submission utility for a website for that concept. And finally, within the last two years I decided that I would like to digitalize recipes in my families collection. while there might be software out there to do this now, none of the software had all of the features that I am looking for and most software has features that I am defiantly not looking for, so I decided that I would write it myself. So yea, I have a LOT of projects to take up my spare time. That said, I have recently made strides in all of these projects by creating some frameworks to do some common tasks within these sites. I will also say that I am a slow coder that puts in about a day or two per year...
