Wow...Your poem is all too true about what's happening to the "Common People" around the world today.

Yeah, I drew a lot from the things I hear and see in the news today. I wanted to write something that was relevant to the current state of affairs in the world and put a positive note on it. Although there is a lot of bad in the world right now, I think it's important to stay as strong as we can and hold onto the hope that it will turn around with time and effort.

There is a lot of bad...but then again there has always been. What's evident right now is that the world is growing smaller with our ability to communicate to practically anyone at any place at any time. So we are in a zone of confusion as to where the world is going. So many of our old (mis)conceptions of identity and how the world works are about to get turned on its head. And there are plenty who will resist that (and I'm not taking sides here, because I think plenty of people from any background are guilty of this). It won't be long before we have the ability to change ourselves and the world around us in ways hardly conceived in the past. And we'd better hope that those with at least somewhat honest intentions are leading the way. Or at least fighting those with dishonest intentions...

I should not neglect to say that I did enjoy the poem! I do think we need many more positive voices.
