This is my first post on any forum, much less Radio Rivendell, so I wanted to introduce myself with a brief story; one that could be part of a much larger tale, but it only began as one of my journal entries. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you, I hope you like it. Thanks.
Sularin couldn’t believe his eyes as he entered the ancient burial chamber of Deklon-Tur. He brandished his torch out against the impenetrable darkness, driving back the shadows that had claimed the tomb for the first time in centuries- the dancing flame snagged stray cobwebs that swayed into his path, igniting minute sparks which rushed up into the darkness above like tiny candle flames which did nothing to the unrelenting shadows above. The bright golden light cast abstract shadow plays upon everything in its wake as the young seeker picked his way slowly across the burial chamber. In the distance, he could see the raised dais that seemed to have some kind of marking on it, though from where he was, he could not make out what it was, if it was anything at all. Scattered bits of armor, dry-rotted linens, and other debris littered the floor letting Sularin know that someone or something else had been here at one point or another- a feeling that made his heart sink into the pit of his stomach as he hoped that the treasure that he sought would still be there.
Talk to you again soon. Until then...
