I suppose the making of RR2 will be based on the sales of RR1. How's it selling? Is Waerloga selling any? Have any of the artists gotten good feedback from it? etc.

From what I've heard Waerloga has sold a bit, I'm lagging a bit behind, but sales are "stable" Waerloga used quite a lot for resellers and those are not considered "sold" yet but "out of stock". I need to sell quite a few more to reach break even. There are quite a few reviews of the CD from all over the globe. I've tried to collect them all on the compilation page. We've been discussing a theme for the CD and that's a think I really like! Just imagine you need battle music for that epic role-play showdown, the final instance in WoW, fierce music for that house-cleaning, etc etc I think it will work great! And then after "battle" comes all other genres! It will be interesting and fun to work with these CDs and Waerloga is eager as well!

And then after "battle" comes all other genres I do like the idea of themes for the upcoming RR CDs. I think Erdenstern has been particularly successful at this. But just a thought - if you select Battle/Action as your next theme, remember that even the soundtracks to "Gladiator" and "300" have soft moments. You need those lows to show just how high the highs are. Otherwise, 60 minutes of uninterrupted high-intensity music could be quite irritating.

I agree with you, Sir Dan, Gotta have some soft soothing melodies and then let the battle rage on! Even a warrior needs a tune to recollect his thoughts!

Yes, we'll probably try to get a good mix and order of the tracks anyways. The reviewers of RR Compilation 1 liked how it was put together with different parts. So Waerloga knows what they do

YES! I can announce to you guys and girls that we have officially started on the CD now! Radio Rivendell and Waerloga Records are once again at it with the market's best compilation with known and unknown fantasy artists! We will be putting up a website for the artists where they and we can see the progress of the whole project. Don't know if this will be open for all. We'll see. The theme will be "battle", so think both big, heroic and epic as well as mellow and sad. There are more parts to battle than victory So this will be our first themed CD and hopefully not the last! There are many interesting themes to look into. We'll keep you posted!
