Parannos retreats a couple of steps keeping himself between his attacker and the little girl. The blue in his eyes seems to ripple as he directs them toward the brute attacking Amelia, and when he says "Fall," his voice resonates with divine authority.

As soon as Shadow saw his mistress getting hurt again he rushed over the barbarian "Bad! BAD!!" he shouted and aimed for the barbarians eyes. Amelia straightens her jaw and in pain she tries again to hit the brute with her magic missile... @Magic Missile@ as soon as the missle hits she tries to step away from him.

The arrow flies through the fight without hurting anyone. The barbarian will attack Amelia but his eyes clouded by the order of Parannos, but recovers and swatted Shadow, as if it were a fly (-1hp) Parannos receive a hit in one shoulder (-5hp) and almost falls to the ground when trip over the barbarian chief who still kicks between red snow. Again the forest lights up and is accompanied by a grunt of pain of the barbarian.

Recovering from his stumble, Parannos grits his teeth and goes into a low knife-fighting stance, making tentative prods at the enemy but focusing on avoiding the enemy's blows.

Gradually you defeat all the Barbarians; snow falls increasingly dense quickly covering the bodies.

Parannos puts away his blade and looks around for the girl. Trying to sound as reassuring as he can, he says, "I am Parannos, a cleric of Armo, and I'm sworn to provide healing and comfort to all who need them. Here, let me show you." He turns to Amelia, indicates the wound on her belly and says, "May I tend to your injuries, Amelia?"

"By all means." Amelia says still holding her jaw. "No one will hurt you little one, you can tell we are not barbarians, right?" she shouts so that the child could hear her.

Parannos scoops up a handful of snow, presses it between his palms. He intones "Mercy is a boundless spring," lays his wet hands on Amelia's cheek and belly, "may its waters seal your wounds, may it wash away your pain." As his hands wipe away the blood and bruises, a cool, soothing sensation pervades Amelia. Parannos turns back towards the girl, his dry, empty palms outward in a friendly gesture.

The girl is nowhere to be seen GO AWAY! Is all you hear, seems to come from under the snow

Gonir halts, hearing the girl's cry. He balances quietly on the tree bough, and begins to move silently through the trees towards the sound. He draws his scimitar as he goes along.

"Very well," Parannos says gently "we will not force you. But we need to know what happened here, what happened to the village." He squats down. "The sooner we find out what became of them, the sooner we'll leave. So, what can you tell us?"

They're dead, alright?! Can I go now?! The voice seems to come from a rock formation between the roots of a large fir that prevents the snow accumulation, perhaps among the rocks is the entrance to a shelter.

Gonir draws closer, but seeing movement in the clearing ahead he dashes into the shadows, sheathing his scimitar and drawing his spyglass to get a better look at the others.

"Go where?" Amelia answers... "There is nothing but snow around. Are you hungry? I have something with me" as Amelia speaks she nods to the direction of the rock formation, giving a signal the party to proceed.

Parannos signals Amelia to halt. "Best not to crowd her, she might panic," he whispers, "Shadow, we could really use your sharp eyes aloft." He looks toward the rock formation but stays otherwise still. "Who killed them," he asks the girl, "what did they look like and how many were there?"

GO AWAY! or they will come, still dark, and they mostly come at night... mostly.

Gonir scales one of the trees, and slowly moves towards the rock formation through the leaves.

"You want us to leave you here?" Amelia tries to smoothtalk her a bit... "You saw us anihilating those barbarians. We may be your only chance to leave this place... We can take you someplace where it doen't matter if it's dark or bright, it would always be safe. How about that? Come on, show yourself and we won't approach unless you say so... " says and waits a bit... Then with a whisper and a gesture sends Shadow to locate her...

Parannos waits for the girl's response with remarkable patience, as if this wasn't his first stand-off with a troublesome child.

He continues through the trees, moving slowly so none of the leaves rustled, which might betray his presence.
