Fuck! He the man whose hand she had grabbed doesn't have a life jacket. Vesper wraps her arm around the man under his arms and with other hand swims towards the door with strong strokes. Can't let him go, she tells herself and grabs the man's jacket to make sure he wouldn't drift away. The man would surely drown without a life jacket. Just like carrying wounded from a battlefield. Easy peasy. The wound on the back of her head stings with salt water sending pulses of pain that make it hard to concentrate. They manage to get outside and the wind hits them so hard that it almost pushes them back inside. The ship has started to sink already and and Vesper can see flashes of red life jackets in the darkness that seems a bit too unnatural even for the raging storm like this.

Gasping for air on reaching the surface, the young man looks around trying to gain some sense of time and place amidst the confusion in his mind. As he looks at Vesper, his mind clears and the true ongoing threat of the situation hits him like a lightning bolt. "We should find something, anything to hold onto," he coughes while looking for debris from the ship that might have floated to the surface. Looking directly at his rescuer he adds, "and we might want to swim clear of this ship before it sucks us down with it. We should get the other survivors clear as well."

Vesper can hardly hear what the man says over the roaring of the wind and the sea "We can't do much",she shouts over the wind. "The ship is going down fast. If we stay we'll definitely go down with it", she had been thinking about this and it pained her heart to know the truth but sometimes you just couldn't save everyone. Suddenly the water level started get down as the sea was gathering more water for another tsunami. As their feet touched the deck Vesper saw the lifeboats, or actually the capsules where they were kept, and started dragging the young man towards them. There was also several life jackets next to the boat and she quickly gave one to the man before she started to open the capsule. "Okay, when I say jump you jump. Got it? We don't have much time",she said and looked at the man with stern look. When she looked up she saw the woman who had helped her with the life jackets and some other people. "Hey you! Get quickly over here!" She shouted at them from the top of her lungs so they could hear her over the storm.

Helena was strugling to stay standing... and heard a voice.. she felt a bit relieved when she saw the young woman next to the life boat capsules. She put so much efford to make it next to her that fel on her knees gasping for air... "Ok lady.... What(gasp)... do we (gasp).... do next!?!?!?"

John wakes in a small security room with about a half inch of water at his feet. Since the lights are out he stumbles around until he finds a few glowsticks, he quickly cracks one and is surprised at what he see's. He finds a large backpack with a half empty and drenched match box in it, he finds a small revolver with a box of ammo, and a few bandages. He grins at his fortune and grabs all of it, with that he rushes out onto the deck and runs straight into the group of survivors.

As John runs over he runs into Vesper. "What can I do to help?" he asks as he looks around at the steadily sinking ship. He sees the "relative" calm the group has and this gives him a little hope for a chance of survival.

Vesper pushes another life jacket into John's hands. "Hold on to that", she has to shout so that the wind doesn't take all her words with it. Then she turns to look at the capsules and gives the instructions a quick glance. Opening the capsule is easy, it has to be. Just in case of this kind of situations. She opens the capsule and the boat starts filling with air. Captain Rodriques turns to look at at the three people with her. "Now we will climb over that fence and jump. You two", she points at Helena and the young man. "You will take care that both of you get on that boat. I will take care of you", she says to John and starts to climb over the fence. When she is standing on the narrow appendage grasping the fence tightly she turns to look at the others. "Well hurry up then!" she shouts. The red life boat that looks more like tent falls in the water and the wind immediately starts carrying it further away from the ship.

As the young man attempts to jump into the raft, he falls short. Taken under water suddenly by the under tow, he vanishes from view.

Laughs insanely as he leaps over the fence and holds on beside Vesper, a wicked grin on his face. "Lets do this!" John winks and waits for her to leap into the boat before him.

As she saw the young man vanishing in front of her eyes in a second, Helena shouts.... "Oh NO!! " With a move that almost looked like she was falling she managed to get into the life boat on top of everyone. "He..(gasp)... he got swept away(gasp)!"

Looks around his long dark hair gathered around his eyes. "What?!" he quickly looks over the side of the boat and into the churning water. "We have no time to look for him!"

Vesper jumps into the water and swims with strong to the boat draws herself inside. She tries to see the young man who got swept into the waves but all she can see is water. She thankful that inside the tent-like boat is at least dry though her clothes are dripping water to the bottom of the boat. Well, at least the wind doesn't get in as she closes the flap that works as a door. The roaring of the wind tones down a bit but it still tries its best to get inside, shaking the little boat and throwing around on the waves. "John is right. We can only hope that the life jacket keeps him on the surface. We can mourn later", she looks at the man and woman sitting on the boats floor and tries to keep away the suddering. She had to stay calm and collected in front of these civilians. "Now we should get close to each other, to keep us warm". And then they just had to wait and hope for the best.

Calms his breathing slowly as he pulls himself over to embrace the women. He chuckles inwardly when he thinks "closest i've ever been to a woman." he cooly keep s a small smirk on his face as he shares his body heat

As time passes it gets more and more difficult to stay warm. Helena, not used to anything like that, is shivering.... Some time passed before she starts muttering "What a nice vacation.... It will be great... It's a doctor's order" with a small pause she shouts.... " IF WE SURVIVE THIS I M HAVING HIM SUED!!"

"Okay, calm down lady! Shouting like that does us no good", Vesper puts her hand on Helana's shoulder and then looks at the both of them. "You can sue him all you want later but we have to stay calm. I know this situation is horrible and we will probably need lots of therapy after we get back home but I promise you: we will get home", she said with sure voice. "And now that we have time we might as well get to know each other. My name is captain Vesper Rodrigues. I fly choppers in the Army", she introduces herself and smiles engouragingly.

"Helena Maria Smith of the Smith & Co. lawyer agency... I would give you my bussiness card but all ten of them became one mass in my pocket" with a lot of efford she gives a hint of a smile.

"Cool, I'm sure to contact you if I ever needto sue sombody" Vesper smiles, trying to lighten the mood. "You any good?" She asks wrapping her wet hoodie tighter around her. The adrenalin is little by little leaving her body and her teeth starts chattering and the headache returns tenfold. It reminds her of the blow to her head and she carefully touches the back of her head. She can feel a small cut but luckily the cold water has stopped the bleeding. Unfortunately salty see water stings like hell in the open wound and Vesper winces with pain.

"My names John, I work for the government." he smirks at the two of them and then look out of the tent...boat...thing at the raging storm around them and nods in appreciation.

"The government, huh?" Vesper humms. "I bet you'd have to kill us if you told us what you do there", she jokes.

Helena gives off a smile to Vesper... "really?? Jokes....? All I can think of is sarcastic comments on this freakin situation... You are something else."
