Praise Elbereth - the eagles made it! They flew over my house this afternoon and dropped my Radio Rivendell CD down the chimney. How they made it from Imladris to the Land of Far, Far Away so fast is surprising. http://bestsmileys.com/bouncing/8.gif I'm listening to it now, and all I can say so far is that it exceeds my expectations (and they were pretty high). First of all, the packaging is gorgeous. The photographs look amazing - especially the cover art and the picture on the CD itself. The booklet, the whole design is simply beautiful. It looks so stylish, Elrond, you must have had the elves working overtime. Then, of course, the music. I'm only on track #6, so maybe I should wait until I've heard the whole thing, but so far I'm loving it. http://bestsmileys.com/bouncing/18.gif (Thanks Daimonion for the translation. The song fits its title.)

Not a problem Elrond! I just wanted to get the order in. If the eagles need to take a detour or vacation, that's fine. I know I'll eventually get it! Besides, with tomorrow being a Holiday (Memorial Day) here in the States, I'm not expecting it to make it here for a while. Thanks again for all the hard work you and the artists have put in on this gem!

My copies arrived today! All I can say is WOW! It's an amazing album - Tincolindo & Helen Trevillion's pieces were so moving they put a lump in my throat. There are some breathtaking pieces on that CD.

*Giggles* I get one line in that....one line!
Tincolindo´s song "Priestess of Avalon" is very easy to understand its inspiration. As you hear the song you can see the mist, the ship and the island. But...YAY! My first actual review!!

That would be a great idea if it's not cost prohibitive. Elrond will most likely need an overwhelming response for orders to warrant that. As it is the costs on low runs (anything less than 1,000 CDs) can be prohibitive (at least from my experience). Not many people are going to be willing to pay $40+ US for a single audio CD set. In this case you're better off going for volume of sales. What might be an interesting compromise is to have different single CD volumes released periodically. Say two or three a year? Obviously that's going to depend on demand and how many artists are willing to have their music on the CDs. Perhaps in the future this might be more feasible. As for right now, I think the current CD/packaging format was a successful prototype. Just some food for thought Israel. BTW, the eagles delivered to my house this weekend and I was listening to the CD constantly! My 6 year old daughter loved it just as much as I did! Let me tell you, the CD artwork is incredible! The pictures here don't do it justice. And the production quality of the music is PHENOMENAL!!! Outstanding work everyone!!!
