Alright folks! We've heard this a couple of times before, but we need a rejuvenation of the site! I have been tinkering with a new design for quite some time now. And this is probably the third time I've started again, and from the beginning this time What would like to see more? What would you like to see less? What should we bring forward and what should we perhaps skip altogether? What's good and bad with the current site? I want your input to build our new Radio Rivendell the way we want to use it! I am going completely mobile with the new site, the current one look like crap in a mobile really There isn't anything to see yet, but I want your thoughts anyway! Find the best looking, most usable sites out there, post your thoughts on design elements, menu things, players, effects etc. I want this new design to incorporate more of a "roleplaying theme", with more similarities to online games if possible

Just a suggestion.....when looking into the "Our Music" section on the site, is there anyway to list right after/next to the alphabetically listed names of BOTH the composers and the albums the current "STAR" ratings? The only reason why I ask is sometimes when I'm exploring, I would like to focus on the more higher rated rather than clicking on every single one to see where they come in on popularity and talent level. Does this make any sense? Or am I just too picky? Thanks for lending an ear.

Haven t really used my smartphone to visit the site... up till now that i am away from home... and yes, it looks strange and... long. About the roleplaying theme... i think it sounds great. I will sleep on it and get back to you!!

I have used my 3DS to check things on the site, but it works just as well.

Same here with old Android 0.9 beta smartphone souvenir from China. Since I often don't have time to check RR every day, I usually open all unread threads in new tabs, but when I read threads and close tabs, they are still marked as unread (and yes, I have reloaded). Also, I didn't found an option that would allow me to mark one or more forum threads as "favourites", "watched" or something like that and to notify me via e-mail when there's new posts in them.

Yes, great idea. Those that are registered members SHOULD receive some form of post in an email or something indicating new material on the site if opted for. This way you could go directly to whatever perked your interest from that message.

One key and important thing keeps me returning to this site. It doesn't have huge swaths of white space, which is great for people like me who intentionally use their computers in dimly lit room. (whenever I have to open a regular website - something like Apple's site - intense eye pain follows)

Aah, yes! That section is so old and boring, it needs new life and better visuals for sure! I love the exploration idea! I want to be able to plug into the composers Soundcloud accounts too, so that we can stream or at least access their music much more easily. Great ideas!

The function that marks a forum topic as read acknowledges where you came from and marks the old one as read when you move away to another topic. This explains why things aren't marked as read as you never leave a thread, just open them separately. How could we solve this? I don't want to mark a topic as read until you do something else, since I want unread posts to show as unread even if you have 50 new ones. If marking the topic as read when entering, paging about in the topic wouldn't show newer posts as unread any more. Hehe, did you get my rant?

I like the idea of favourite forum threads/topics! I have written that one down. That way our roleplayers will get a quicker access to their roleplaying. We also need email on updated topics, yes!

Sounds like we need a dark theme! Personally I like bright sites with high contrast, but we could make two themes so that we can satisfy our dark folks as well We could perhaps make this a selection of "sides" for your account. Are you with Gandalf or Saruman?

That's a good idea. The social network www.schwarzes-glueck.de has a couple of themes from which to choose to personalize ones profile. They also had a competition in designing new themes. Perhaps a job for the artists among us ...

I'm not even sure if this is possible, but when on the 'new site'…is there anyway of categorizing all the music being played? Let's say there is a piece of music that has the sound, atmosphere and theme of a Tavern. So, in addition to the listing of composer, album title and song name….could we give it a "grouping"? Ok, why? Well, I would love to compile all sorts of "themed" music for my library. When I'm gaming with friends and they are in a tavern for probably about 3 to 4 hours, interacting with all the NPC's about….it would be nice to have at my fingertips, all of those particular pieces of music that could fill the "background" for the gaming experience. I have compiled some in playlists already, but they only amount to about 30 to 45 minutes at best…..NOT ENOUGH! So, if there is some sort way to accomplish this in the future would be super awesome! Maybe, this feature could be added to the "My Favorites" list that I suggested along with a 'boost' due to participation level and donation support??? Again, I'm no expert…just throwing darts!!! Thanks for listening.

I've had this idea for some time to broadcast more channels with different music for different genres. That way we could have a tavern channel, battle channel, exploring channel etc etc. It's not impossible

OMG!!! YES!!! A different channel for each variant of music needs! I'm gonna pass out!!!

We'll see what happens with that, it's still just a thought. But it would be awesome

It has happened many times the DM to switch to some youtube playlist saying "Sorry Jo but I need something with a kick right now.."

Also, I don't know about you, but I don't like it when there is a link on RR and when I click on it I leave the site. I know how to open a new tab but usually due to speed I end up clicking anyway... Is it possible for a new tab to open when clicking a link? Is it only me or others noticed this aswell?
