I love the soundtrack to World of Warcraft, at least the first version Then there area some themes to other games such as Hitman and Assassin's Creed andFable that are great, but just the main themes.

Arcanum - for that steam-punk Victorian era feeling Assassin's Creed - Jesper Kyd's songs are charged with emotion Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Torment - loved the games, loved the music. Torment has such an atmosphere of loss, such sadness ... Daggerfall - love those gloomy songs Demon Stone by Rob Mills Knights of the old Republic - well, it's star wars but yet different. Perfect World - from a Korean MMORPG ( aka a soulless grinder ) that was nonetheless fun and atmospheric during the beta. Sad they killed it. The Witcher - especially Dusk of a Northern Kingdom Valkyrie Profile When I play some dark and desperate pen and paper, like Call of Cthulhu or some space opera à la Alien Dante's Inferno - Hell yeah Dead Space Homeworld Cataclysm S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Silent Hill - you know you love Pyramid Head. Singles : Time Scar ( Chrono Cross ) - I love the violin Hell March ( Command & Conquer ) - I like to listen to this when I play Drow Katamari on the Rock ~ Main Theme - I always have this at the ready when my player do something stupid that result in physical prejudice* Max Payne 2 Theme - You said Noir ? Run PAC-MAN, run ! ( Ridge Racer 6 ) - fun and zany music We Form In Crystals ( Star Ocean ) Snow or Cherry Petal ( Touhou ) - very calm and melancholic song Into the Wilderness ( Wild Arms ) And I actually liked Stones from Ultima. Don't bother, I have no shame. No need to cite Jeremy Soule, he has only copy-pasted himself this last decade, he's become boring and generic.

personally i like the Bastion soundtrack the best.

I like Stones from Ultima, too, but I prefer the version the composer sings in person.

Nightsong from the WoW Cataclysm soundtrack is getting a lot of plays on my media player right now.

The Skyrim OST is one of my favourites at least for 2011

Mine has to be baldur's gate 2 main theme. I spent hours and hours listening to this music while rolling for my new characters

I love the old Castlevania music. (Vampire Killer is awesome.) Also, all of the old Ultima music is great. The Ultima IX soundtrack is on my D&D playlist.

Mine would have to be the soundtrack to 'Frozen Synapse'.....followed VERY closely by, of course, ZELDA Ocarina of time (from all those years ago....)........with maybe a little of Age of mythology....always seems to be a few good ones in that....

I adore the music from Secret or Evermore. It is at times non-music-esq but for me the use of nature sounds has always been a fascinating tool in music. Beyond that is a lot of variation in style that sticks to a theme.
