Well, yes, the Witcher books are quite good. But they haven't all been translated into English, meaning we have to make do with fan translations.

Currently playing Rainbow Moon for the PS3 a cheap tactical rpg in the same vein as Vandal hearts and or Final Fantasy tactics. It's a playstation network game.

My days are too packed with pen-and-paper roleplaying at the moment for me to have a chance to immerse myself in cRPGs. I have no complaints about this state of affairs. I do have games that I feel like i should get back to: Mass Effect 1 and 2, Oblivion, Avadon: The Black Fortress and Icewind Dale all have save games awaiting a lull in my PnP gaming schedule. And then there are some recent acquisitions I'm itching to have a go at: The Witcher, Neverwinter Nights 2 and King's Bounty: The Legend. It's not really that I have a poor attention span with them; rather the opposite: I like to immerse myself in them so thoroughly that they easily gobble up a big chunk of my schedule. I'm not one to consume games in manageable bites, and since cRPGs are quite low on my list of priorities it's rare for me to end up playing them at all.

I'm now playing Two Worlds. And I'm really surprised. That game is at least on the same level as Oblivion. ( By the way, the whole spiderweb bundle is now available for cheap on gog.com ; dated graphics but good story )

Last RPG I played was Space Rangers 2. It's not really what someone imagines as a cRPG, but that's why I liked it, it was something new; while the game is actually quite old, recently a HD version was published in Russia and probably soon English HD version will follow. I loved the mini--text-games part (where some were like RPG, and others like logic games).

Oh yes, Space Rangers is most definitely a cRPG! You have a sandbox to operate in, you make choices according to your character's personality, and there's skill development. Having your character primarily represented by a spaceship can't really diminish this.

I wonder if they'll proofread the English for the HD version. I'm sort of hoping they won't: I actually find that the grammatical weirdness helps immersion. After all, these are alien creatures, and cross-species language barriers should be hard to overcome even for futuristic universal translators!

I just mean SR2 doesn't look like BG, IWD, PT, Fallout, or new 3D games. I'm not a native English speaker, so I didn't spot any weirdness in the translation.

I sometimes don't put an emote where someone else usually would, but that doesn't mean I adopt a defensive attitude; I'm actually quite relaxed type of a guy.

I'm thinking about buying SPAZ - Space Pirates And Zombies. I love space games, and the title is crazy enough to check it out. As for off-topic that emerges: I'm waiting for Polish CDPR's Cyberpunk 2077, Activision Blizzards's Project Titan and Obsidian's Project Ethernity.

I'm playing the Hobbit Armies of the Third Age (seen on the banners here) I figure they're supporting Rivendell, I'll go play and help them grow too. It's a little annoying because they're still working out alot of bugs, but it's also cool getting involved from the ground up. I was also playing Dragons of Atlantis; got a little bored with it so I'm taking a break by wandering Middle Earth for awhile (although remember...Not All Who Wander Are Lost...)

Oh, I hate MMORTS, I want to play a game when I am in mood to play it, not when the game requires me to do it.

Currently playing Lord of the Rings Online (Gladden server), after a stint with SWTOR (hit max level and...well not much more to it). I got rid of my PS2 about a year ago, albeit reluctantly. With two kids, MMO's and other online pursuits I found I never used it. The last RPGs I played were the Kingdom Hearts series and Final Fantasy. I started back at the beginning and was (stress was), working my way forward. I got to FFIV before giving it up due to lack of time. On a side note, I got Chrono Trigger with one of the games and that was a fun blast from the blast (like I've said before, I'm old
