Yeah, Skyrim is still on the top of the ladder and one of my best RPGs for all time. Actually It was my first Elder Scrolls game when it came out. I can honestly say that from vanilla Skyrim, 'till current days, it got better and better. Every single expansion is really well done. Also with the modding community along side, makes it currently playable more and more. Not sure if TESO will pull apart some of the current die hard fans of Skyrim or of the whole franchaise, but i am certain that this game is already a pantheon for a quality work from Bethesda Softworks.

A fellow gamer-geek I work with highly recommends the Elder Scroll series. I just don't have time for PC games right now. That being said, I did put my name in for the closed Beta of ESO. I think I'm looking forward to Wildstar more though, (http://www.wildstar-online.com/en/#page1). I love the humour, and the quests designed for Explorers appeals. I'll link one of the videos,

To be honest I didn't even know what it is. I love space stuff, but I hate MMORPG and by looking on a gameplay on Youtube, it doesn't seem revolutionary enough to make me like it. So I keep waiting for Project Titan from Blizzard.

I also wait for http://en.heroes-online.com/

I'm still at the MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online 7 years later... Have not tried any of the others though many of my friends have. Am maxed out level and mainly roleplaying now. Ever since Warner Bros bought Turbine things have gotten more commercial and people are tired of it, who knows if or when they will get smart and start sticking to the lore better?

DragonFable, if anyone has heard of it. It's an online RPG. I know it's probably terrible compared to all other RPG's but I'm playing it simply because It's from my childhood and I have recently discovered it again It's also pretty addictive. Besides, RPGs such as Skyrim or the Elder Scrolls look far too hard for me as I'm only young. It just looks too advanced for me. But I have considered playing Lord of the Rings online, It looks really awesome.
To anyone who may be wondering, Aldalatin is my name in Quenya :)

Hi all i come back. I am glad to see you all. I was off too long i don't know why Ok i will start from the beginning of this year. In first two months my friend and I played Borderlands 2 a lot. Its a nice killing time game. All other free times i played Torchlight II and Sacred II, and some Path of Exile. Now i just started to play The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, its a really great game with great animations and graphics for the isometric view. Interface looks like a lot of Diablo III. For the summer break i prepared Skyrim (but already started, 40+ mods and only 1 mod cheats, I really don't have patience for lock picking), Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition, Wizardry 8 and i will see if i have time for Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete and Morrowind (with better graphic mod, i forgot the name).

Always nice to get recommendation from you, RezMar - I heard about the Van Helsing game, checked screenshots and somehow got an impression that it's not a nice game, but now I look on gameplay and I think I'll give it a try! For now I got sucked into LoL again.

I'm also currently playing "he Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing" and it seems like a nice fantasy ARPG, but when you find the dirty little secret in the end, your view will drastically change. The game offers a fun and solid experience, but it has a ZERO replayability. You don't believe me? Well suits youself. Once you kill the final boss and finish all the acts, that's it. You can't continue with your character on other difficulties. All the hours spend in game, building your character and all that will be wasted with with the snap of a finger. Storywise, it's cool. I like the steampunk / victorian vibe around it. Also the combat feels kind of floaty and it doesn't have that impact from Torchlight or Diablo III. As a whole, it is a good indie title and any hyngry RPG fan should give it a try. It's currently 10,99 € on Steam, so grab it if you want. It's not a full price game. Judging from the fact that it is an indie title and it's made by a small company in Hungary (Neocore Games), i can't just criticize it that much.

I tried Van Helsing, but I didn't like it. At beginning it was nice, I loved the prologue with travel animation and story, but later the story turned out not to be interesting. So it was similar as with Krater, I just had no motivation to play the game, as I kind of discovered whole game mechanics in a first hour of playing.

But I found a game with great story in comparison, Expedition Conquistador; it has exceptionally well written dialogues, and battle system is unique (as far as I know), tactical and interesting.

Hey, maybe you guys can recommend a game for me. Someone on the forums recommended Legend of Grimrock which I bought, but my computer was too slow to beat some of the puzzles. Also it's not really what I'm looking for. I also tried LotR Online, which was fun for a little while but wasn't very fulfilling for me because the combat and leveling/spec-ing tactics aren't very deep. I'm more into Action+Tactical RPGs, preferably with a multiplayer and explorations aspect but not with any gimmicky micropayments for in-game advantages. A good storyline and setting is also crucial. My favorite game of the past was Final Fantasy Tactics. Unfortunately I have a non-ideal notebook computer for casual gaming but I'm not willing to invest any money in a dedicated gaming machine. So that is another limiting factor. Here's the stats: Intel Celeron CPU 900 @ 2.20 GHz 2.19 GHz 4GB RAM (system), 64MB RAM (built-in video card) It has a horrible touchpad and I don't use a mouse, so keyboard preferred: games that require dexterity or speed with a mouse are therefore ruled out. Ok, so what do you experts recommend?

Dragon Age: Origins has a nice story, pleasant fights and an active pause. Starsector is controlled by keyboard, has nice tactics, but no story yet. FTL has active pause and a tactical fight with fun story. Expeditions Conquistador has a nice story, nice fight and is turn based, and seems not to use a lot of graphics, but it gets pretty easy after the first chapter.

Nice, thanks for the suggestions. Dragon Age: Origins looks perfect. Now I will just have to be careful so I don't fritter away too much time on it.

EDIT: Rats, looks like my video card is too weak. Minimum requirement is 256 MB. Ah well, back to being productive with my time I suppose!

Be aware that GW2, despite the fact it's on PC, uses a console engine : all graphical computations are done at the CPU level, that game makes almost no use of 3d cards. You'll need a real Überkampfmaschine to play it.

Finally West across the Sea :)

That's quite interesting... And hilarious especially for me, as I was once in an argument with one of GW2 smartass creators. I'd love to check this game out, especially because I have good CPU i7, but I guess there are no free trials yet?
