Well, I've never been into movies or TV series. So I have to say LotR as they are the only movies I've ever watched more than twice. Game of Thrones is the best TV series as I'm always looking forward for a new season of it.

Favorite film. I love this question, and think of it often. Everyone has a favorite per genre, but the trick is to be honest with yourself about which is your favorite genre. Mine is fantasy film, but speficially 80's thru 90's fantasy. Yes Lord of the Rings tril. is awesome, but for me nothing beats Willow, Legend, and best of all; The Princess Bride. Don't think I like any other Rob Reiner flicks but Princess Bride will always have an "inconcievable" place in my heart.

My favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but especially The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. I think it deserved the eleven awards it got at the Academy Awards
I love God, The Lord of the Rings and music.

Hmm, I'm a bit surprised nobody has mentioned Blade Runner yet, in my opinion the best single Sci-Fi movie of all time. Here's my picks by category: Horror: Army of Darkness, The Shining, Predator, Aliens Sci-Fi: Blade Runner, Dune, Star Wars Fantasy: Peter Jackson's LOTR and The Hobbit, Krull, Excalibur Action: Rambo (yeah I know it's cheesy but their's just something cathartic about watching it), Iron Monkey, Legend of the Drunken Master Childhood Favorite: Flight of Dragons, The Last Unicorn I haven't watched enough anime movies to pick a favorite really. But I did enjoy Princess Mononoke quite a lot.

This is a tough question for me, because I like most movies & series I've seen "best" because of the picture itself and what it has given me.

I also watch all movies & series in the original sound version (with subtitles), even in languages I don't speak, because some translations change the whole film and thus you see a different movie with the same pictures.

Example: "I've beaten the bastard to death with a crowbar." are translated to german and mean afterwards (if translated back to english) "... and then their Photonrocket broke down." (Quoted from The hills have eyes (1977).

In general I like movies & series with high contents of storyline, philosophical aspects and struggle to survive like The Tripods, Alien 3, Man from Earth, Bubba Ho-Tep, Metropolis (1927), Star Trek-TNG - All Good Things..., Boyz 'n' the Hood, Soylent Green or Enemy Mine, etc.

The following movies definetly stirred up more amounts of feeling-good emotions in me than others. So I'd say these are my top 13 movies.

Kaze no tani no Naushika http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087544/?ref_=nv_sr_2

Compelling and emotion stirring. I never got through the movie without crying.

Dogma http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120655/?ref_=nv_sr_1

To quote Kevin Smith (the director & actor of Silent Bob ): "Faith is to be celebrated, not mourned."

The Gamers: Dorkness rising http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0447166/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

Gamers and their problems in nowadays roleplaying groups as well as huge amounts of hilarious gamer-fun.

Monty Pythons: The Meaning of Life http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085959/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Hilarious comedy with a serious undertone.

Ronja Rövardotter http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088015/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Children of two competing Robberclans become "siblings" and unite their "families".

Kôkaku Kidôtai http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113568/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Questions about human and artificial sentience.

Bubba Ho-Tep http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0281686/?ref_=nv_sr_2

Old peoples home defended by two successfully aged folk-heroes.

The last Unicorn http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084237/?ref_=nv_sr_1

The search for ones people and companionship on a quest.

Forbidden Planet http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0049223/?ref_=nv_sr_4

Dangers of intellect being used by instinct.

Dragonslayer http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082288/?ref_=nv_sr_1

The first "D&D"-movie I saw with fine acting, no overdone fighting scenes and some rather bloody moments (considering it's a Disney movie).

Metropolis http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0017136/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Two separated parts of a society being brought together.

Léon http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110413/?ref_=nv_sr_3

Two solitary people heal each other.

Cannonball Run II http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087032/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Lots of filmstars in a car race comedy ... oh, and Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise & Sammy Davis Jr. as bellydancers.
