No, it sounds like destiny.

Haha, I guess you cannot shrink in size, but you could grow a beard and drink a lot of beer at least

I have trouble with the beard part, but I think I already drink like a dwarf!

My husband and I just recently purchased the The Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game - The Mines Of Moria. It contains 34 Citadel miniatures. Gimli was my favorite one to paint!

Where did you get that from? I would like to do that.

We bought it at our local hobby/gaming store. You can order it through Games Workshop online. Here is the link to check it out http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat200058&rootCatGameStyle=lotr

It's a shame Games Workshop charges so much for their games. Love the minis, but the ever-changing rules that force you to buy new sets every year or so really makes it hard to keep up. Their Warhammer Fantasy line of Dwarf minis is GORGEOUS though! Second only to the Orcs of course...

I would agree. The Dwarf minis are my favorite but I like the High Elves as well

What are some of your favorite dwarf characters across the board (any form/media)?

Gimli, naturally, but also Gotrek from Warhammer, Flint Fireforge from Dragonlance, Thorin Oakenshield, Bugman from Warhammer, and that's about all I can think of. Unfortunately Dwarves don't get royal treatment when it comes to books/movies. They're always secondary to those pesky Humans and Elves...

Man, I hate those damn pointy-ear'd nature lovers...

I would say I hate them too, but they taste very good and are right crunchy, being all skin and bones...

Gimli and Gotrek are pretty clear choices for favorite dwarves. Oghren from Dragon Age is such a REAL character in a lot of ways -- I love the way he subconsciously sabotages all of his own goals. Reminds me of myself.

Had to undergo a lot of pain in Dragon Age 2, but one of few cool things was the dwarf Varric. There is a scene when you play Varric, and shoot countless enemies with his crossbow... Only to be brutally informed it was Varric's imagination

( ಠ_ృ) How do you confuse a dwarf? Show him three shovels and tell him to take his pick! c(_) ۩۞۩۩۞۩۩۞۩۩۞۩۩۞۩۩۞۩۞۩b۩[/b

This are awesome dwarves. I am partial to Bruenor Battlehammer and Tungdil Goldhand.

I am not a big dwarf fun, but Bruenor is my favourite by far. Always hard like stone from the outside , but his soul was kind, generous and emotional! No need to say he did his best to hide this last quality of his (but he was never succesful between his friends ! hehe) Good old Bruenor!

I just came up with a dwarven response to the famous "Do your women have beards" question. Yes, they have, but lower, (in the inappropriate place)
