Added full slate of categories to thread parent. I've got some high hopes for some of the game soundtracks this year. 2010 was kinda "meh", but with Elder Scrolls V, The Witcher 2, and Guild Wars 2 coming out, some of the best soundtracks of recent years may be serving up a second helping.

Added Two Worlds II and Dungeons to the list. Great soundtracks from people not named Inon or Jeremy. There's hope for the genre! And I have to agree - we don't show enough recognition to spam references in fantasy.

Yeah, these should be nicknamed the "Jeremy Soule Awards".

Finally there's quite many new up and coming composers in the game genre. I remember when Jeremy more or less scored all fantasy games

Just remembered to add WoW Cataclysm. Not too bad. Should the re-issue of Dawn of War II in a "complete" anthology be eligible for 2011? There are a handful of new tunes in the collection.

GW2 is Guild Wars 2? I really enjoyed all Guild Wars soundtracks so far!

I just saw the film "Season of the Witch" and liked the soundtrack. It was Atli again ("The Eagle" He's really making some good music.

Was the music better than the film? And if so, would it make the film worth seeing if the movie was so-so? I'm always eager to get my fantasy hunger fed

Alright people! It's getting near the end of 2011 now and it's about time we started working on the Fantasy Awards! This year I will be able to work faster with this. My scripts for handling it all should be quite finished, so we have better control over voting and stuff

We need to take Guild Wars 2 off the list - not gonna happen in 2011. We also need to add the latest "Two Steps From Hell" - Arkangel. I would, in fact, do that were I, ahem, able to edit the top post.

It is coming back, some day. We just need to keep "War in the North" in our minds till then

I'm keeping notes. I'm thinking that the new Warhammer 40k game, Space Marine, has a pretty good soundtrack, too.
