I think we might only nominate people who write their own music. So, this nomination would actually be for Jeremy Soule, who wrote the music. See what I mean?

It also adds the question if a new version of an old tune counts. The Elderscrolls theme obviously is years old, while the Skyrim version did come out this year.

I think it's a matter of judgement. If, while listening to it, you think, "That's nice, but it's essentially the same as the old version", then it doesn't get a nod. If it is significantly transformed with just a nod to older themes, then it might be worthy.

Isn't it 2012? Sherlock Holmes 2 came out in 2012 (exactly in New Year) in Poland, don't know how in rest of the world.

No, it came out December 16th in the US and Canada, so it's valid. Dunno if I'd exactly call that Fantasy though.
