I like the idea of an wiki and I also like the new logo. The backgroundcolor should be a litle bit darker, I think. What's with the idea of an point-sytem for the user? The more you are active in the forum or homepage the more point's you get for specials or so.

Yes, something like that. The more you participate the more special your account will get. I haven't thought it out yet, but participation is the key. Any ideas of improvements and such are most welcome

Whats with the idea of an daily or weekly show with an moderator? There you can play the RR top ten. Or you can present us a cd or group of the week. Other shows are welcome, too I think.

Interesting concept Elrond! Although it'll take me a little bit to get used to the move away from the current earth tones. But adaptability isn't a bad thing! Here are a couple of suggestions for you: - How about a member's gallery? i.e. a place for the creative members to showcase their artwork/photography? Although if you happen to implement the blogs, some blog modules allow the blogger to host their own gallery. If that happens, then perhaps we can have a gallery that indexes and spiders the individual blogs for images that are posted? - A special spot for Radio Rivendell wallpapers/banners/signature blocks would be superlative! Any way that would make it easier for members and RR lovers to advertise our home can only help! I'm thinking that it would be also helpful to have instructions on how to include the signature blocks into their signatures on other boards, or banners on their websites might be helpful for those who aren't familiar with how to do it. BTW, I love the idea of a RR Wiki! We have such a wealth of knowledge here in our ranks, that it would be a very successful feature for those who are just coming into the genre. Oh and I haven't forgotten about the Firefox extension either...just got caught up with work and life. You know how that goes! LOL

Great suggestions! Will keep them in mind! There are many things that are a bit awkward with the current site. I also had the same idea on the artwork page for each member. Could be fun! Hopefully I get more time to work on it. Currently I'm overwhelmed with stuff to do, setting up my business and all. Shiiesh, so much to do

Hey all! I had an inspirational day today, and I've spent roughly 10 hours on a new design for 2007. The old new one is scrapped for THIS masterpiece http://www.radiorivendell.com/images/mixed/rivendell_2k7_2.jpg It's far from finished but I'm getting there (and back again). It will be a 1024 px wide layout, with the menu to the left, plus a large button banner at the top with most useful links. Will move the member section upwards, highlight the FAQ-page with a big nice button, etc etc. There will be more boxes to the right and more menu scrolls to the left. What do you think?

Yes, I know it's not much left of 2007, so perhaps it will be 2008, we'll see. If I get enough time we CAN see the result in 2007. I will however need to rewrite and restructure quite many things first. On the button questions, I think I like my grey stone a bit better, I don't want the graphics to be too cluttered. We'll see where it ends up, this was just the second layout I've created so far for Radio Rivendell 2.0

The thought is to make it possible for all of us to have our own page with some description, perhaps pictures, a blogg?, a list of friends, the guild crest (for guild members), list of owned albums/games?, favourite list?, statistics? Any ideas?
