Alright, it was very long ago since there was an update on the new site. Let's not call it RR 2k7, but RR 2.0 so we don't miss any schedule or release an old design I have been developing a little CMS of my own and will probably be using it for Radio Rivendell too. Much easier to focus on ONE product, and I can incorporate my work efforts on both ends. A true win-win situation for both my job and Radio Rivendell! Though I will need some development time here and there to produce our ideas on the new design for RR. It will probably be relased in a slimmed down version first and new features will be added later when they are programmed. Luckily there are not that much functionality in the site today, so it should be fairly "easy" to build it

Are you still keeping this PHP based, or are you moving to the .NET framework?

I'm keeping it in PHP with mySQL-database. The cheapest and simplest solution I think. Finding webhosts with .NET is trickier and more expensive. And PHP is the only thing I know I did some C# a few years back and liked it, but I think PHP is a tad simpler

I not being a computer savvy person, IT LOOKS GREAT! As long as I can get to hear the music and go to the forums, works for me! just putting in my cents worth.

We will surely need beta testing I think I will leave the forum as it is in the first round at least. It works fine and looks alright. I will however create a new theme for it when the theme for the rest of the site is decided and set.

Okay so 2007 passed and nothing for RR yet. BUT! ... I've beed busy updating my CMS and now made even more things and ideas for RR 2.0 being possible! So I've been working very hard. Actaully, the last three days have been really wicked workwise. But this gives us true and honest hope for RR 2.0 in (hopefully) the first half 2008

Lord Elrond, you know you do not have to explain to us. We know that your working out in the real world and working to keep "RR" running smoothly. So we all know that when it is all set to go we are in for a really huge surprise and "RR" will be even greater in all departments! We will wait and listen and read and have fun while you tweak the system into perfection!!!!! Then BANG!!!! You will be giving us the greatest running music station on the net! We will be waiting and having fun here.

Speaking of the new site. Are you keeping all the same pages? Because, I was going to go over them and clear up the awkward grammar and sentence constructions in some areas. Figured I should do something helpful around here for once. Witchy, there's a simple solution. He records himself while working on the site. If there's a lot of swearing going on, then we know he's working. Or at least that's been my experience when working with any kind of code. But yeah, keep up the good work guvnar!

Yes, I'd love to get help with the texts! I have never claimed to be a very good writer, but since I am the only one able to write it (at the moment) I had to So it would be really appreciated if you helped me out. But perhaps it's no real use just yet, since I don't know what pages will be spared and what goes. So it will probably just be wasted time for you But when we're getting there I'll let you all know when I need help Great to know that the community is strong Oh, and one more thing. Members with editorial priviliges (writers guild) will be able to directly edit content online. You will most probably also earn "gold", valor and fame for doing so Radio Rivendell 2.0 will be so much more alive, hopefully!

Hey! My CMS has grown and matured pretty nicely over the last months and I have actually started to work on a frame for the new foundation for RR 2.0! What we need to discuss and figure out now is: What would we like to see on the new site? New sections? New content? What could be removed? What should to be moved? etc etc. I will work from the base of the current page structure. Now it's up to you to give your voice heard
