Posted by MuadMouseIndeed I do! Excellent work!

Mhm, me too.

The problems I mentioned some time ago regarding my capability to reach the internet and thus place my postings here, have worsened. At the moment it seems, that I may be able to send one post per week at best.

I definetly would not like my character to leave so early in the story, but if I don't send the reply post within a week, you better write her out, MuadMouse. If you write her out, I'll catch up with you lot, once I've gotten rid of that Thunderstorm/Graphite-Elemental, that is disrupting my WLAN-wire.

This is a good point to write her out for the time being. If the party decide to follow Vimess' recommendation and head to town, she can stay behind at Gustheight Rock to contemplate what she's witnessed. Then she's just one shamanistic vision away from catching up, no matter where they are.

Hmm, good idea. I'm currently writing my gaming post, but I can't guarantee that it will reach Radio Rivendell once I get to send it. Let's say, if I don't place a post until friday, my character bids the others farewell and stays behind like you suggested. I'll have to add something later though, that might affect Vee's reaction to her.

Alternatively your character can escort them to the city and then wander off on her own. That shouldn't leave any hard feelings.

There, Arteschka is nice and isolated on the rock staring at flames until Werwolf gets those pesky internet connection problems sorted out. Meanwhile, Nelja and Vee can enjoy the pirate-y ambience of Greenwater Cove. I'm still trying to get the hang of forum RPG pacing. In face-to-face games I like to give lots of space for player character interaction, but I'm not sure if that is optimal in this game. What do you think? EDIT: Greenwater Cove has all sorts of weird and wonderful individuals and establishments, so if you have an idea for something that your character would be interested in, go right ahead and describe it (as far as your character can know, of course). I'd be happy to accept the challenge!

I'm not sure, if they could be sorted out. Several computer geeks & engineers are amazed, puzzled and clueless as to the nature of the problems. And they have even less ideas about a solution.

I'm also very fond of interactions between characters. In the nature of forum-RPG's however, the flux between players is hindered, because we have to wait for each others posts. Sometimes for one or more days, especially in my case. It sure isn't optimal, but in my opinion it's better than a timeframe in which one has to answer, or else ...

Which I feel is bad.

I did finish writing my post but you, MuadMouse, pre-empted me. Is it okay if I post it anyway, but in past tense?

Posted successfully. I think it's save for me to announce, that I'll be able to post every three days. Ioanna & Sapient, I'd like you to post first. If you all agree, I'd like you not to refer in an interacting way to my last gaming post unless it is crucial. It'll save us trouble in backtracking.

My thought is, don't obsess over post order... Just post when you have time. And a little retroactive post is fine if you had something else to say before the scene skipped. But yeah, at that point you don't want to take any significant actions or prompt another player for any interactions, as that could cause a time paradox.

Thank you guys very much.

I still need to get a more proper feeling about how forum RPG is played. It's just that I don't want to disrupt our game with my connection problems. But as I continue to learn, I now have a guideline about retro-posts which should help significantly.

With pacing in mind, I sort of rushed you through the city in my post. Feel free to add any activities your character would've engaged in on the way. If it's something larcenous or disruptive there's a chance it'll come bite you in the arse later on. Let me know what you think of this sort of pacing.

Rushed, yes. But so did the inhabitants past the group. Personally I'd have paused before the three had entered Craftsman’s Lane in order to give them time to interact with the citizens, refugees and traders.

Arteschka performs her actions in a sudden and childlike manner, leaving the young man barely time for counter-reactions. Also, she times the things she says as close as possible to the moments, when he is about to say something. Both in an attempt to appear very impulsive and to distract him as much as possible, as she continues to interrupt his mental preparations to handle the situation. By frustrating, ignoring or arousing him. Hopefully all at once.

I think it should be better if we let the scene flow. MuadMouse and Werewolf, what do you think? We could come back by posting "Meanwhile in the workshop... "

I was thinking about doing just that, but haven't had time. I'll see if I can squeeze it in today.

I'm fine with it. Also, in my opinion, it generally reads better if a scene is completed.

As you may have noticed, I'm a bit overwhelmed with real world activities at the moment, and haven't been able to keep up. Also, I'll be doing a lot of traveling soon. So, sadly I'll be not playing... or probably even reading. I hope you continue on without me though.
